Our new name
Forty years ago, we were a single-site family planning center, the “South Bay Free Clinic.” But we now have four health centers, plus a school-based clinic and a mobile health van. We also provide a much broader array of services.
So, we wanted a name that reflected our expanded capabilities, plus our wider focus on comprehensive primary care and continuity of care for entire families. We think “South Bay Family Health Care” suggests that.
We want people to remember, however, that even though we’ve changed our name and logo, our mission remains the same: “The mission of South Bay Family Health Care is to provide access to quality health care for individuals and families, regardless of their ability to pay.”
We are still committed to improving the health of the communities in which we live and work by “building healthy lives.” We are simply changing our name and logo, not our philosophy, or how we deliver care or work with our local communities.
New logo
Our new logo is more contemporary and more open and thus, it better represents and symbolizes our broader focus.
The colors are warmer, friendlier and more upbeat, reflecting the positive, friendly and welcoming aspects of our clinic environment and the attitudes of our providers and staff.
It’s a logo that symbolizes all the positive changes and expansion taking place at South Bay Family Health Care.
